S P Setia Foundation provides care and support to B40 community, police and armed forces veterans

“The initiative aims to improve the well-being of patients undergoing prolonged medical treatments and veterans of police and army forces who face mobility and health issues.”
SETIA ALAM (Aug 23): The B40 community and veterans in need were feted with generous care and support from the S P Setia Foundation, the company’s charitable arm, recently.
Provided via its Sincerely Setia Healthcare & Well-Being Assistance Programme, food and hygiene kits and wheelchairs were given to hospitals and non-governmental organisations over recent months.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has intensified the challenges facing vulnerable communities. The initiative aims to improve the well-being of patients undergoing prolonged medical treatments and veterans of police and army forces who face mobility and health issues,” S P Setia stated in a media release.
In its latest effort, S P Setia Foundation donated 750 sets of food and hygiene kits to Hospital Sultan Idris Shah Serdang and Hospital Shah Alam, with toiletries contributed by Amari Kuala Lumpur.
Through its ‘National Heroes Assistance’ initiative, S P Setia Foundation gave wheelchairs to Persatuan Kebajikan Bekas Anggota Skuad 69 (SKUAD 69) Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) and Persatuan Veteran ATM Negeri Selangor (PVATM Selangor) to assist veterans of the police force and armed forces. The SKUAD 69 is an elite counter terror unit of the PDRM.
In February, S P Setia Foundation contributed food and hygiene kits valued at RM120,000 and wheelchairs to three hospitals – Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya (PPUM), Hospital Canselor Tuanku Mukhriz (HCTM) in Cheras, and Hospital Shah Alam – benefiting a total of 559 families.
