Land & General sees boardroom shuffle
KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 22): Land & General Bhd (L&G) has appointed a new director to its board while redesignating one of its directors to a senior director.
In bourse filings on Wednesday, the property developer said it had appointed Faezali Mustafa R Jumabhoy as an independent non-executive director from Tuesday (Nov 21).
According to L&G, Faezali has over three decades of experience in international real estate, hospitality industry investment and development advisory, funding, financing, asset management, and investment banking.
He is currently a director at Globus Holdings Ltd Hong Kong which offers real estate, hospitality industry development, investment, debt, capital markets, and operating solutions.
He was previously managing director and sector head of real estate wholesale banking at CIMB Banking Group from April 2011 to June 2023, and had co-founded the boutique hospitality and real estate advisory firm TRANSACT Asia, where he served as managing director from September 1994 to April 2011.
Faezali holds a Master’s in professional studies in real estate finance and marketing from Cornell University in the US and a degree in business administration, finance, and quantitative methods from Babson College in the US.
Meanwhile, L&G had also redesignated its independent non-executive director Datuk Noorizah Abd Hamid from Tuesday.
At Wednesday’s close, L&G was traded at 12 sen, giving it a market capitalisation of RM343.05 million.
