GDB Holdings clinches RM298m warehouse project from SimeProp’s JV unit
KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 12): GDB Holdings Bhd (KL:GDB), which specialises in high-rise construction projects, said it has bagged a RM298 million contract to build a logistics warehouse in Bandar Bukit Raja 2, Klang.
The Main Market-listed company said its subsidiary, Grand Dynamic Builders Sdn Bhd, was awarded the contract by SDPLOG1 (My Holdings) Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between Sime Darby Property Bhd (KL:SIMEPROP) and LOGOS SE Asia Pte Ltd.
This brings GDB’s outstanding order book to RM1.4 billion, providing a strong pipeline until December 2026, the group said in a statement on Thursday.
The Metrohub 4 project is GDB’s second logistics warehouse project secured from SDPLOG this year, following the successful completion of Metrohub 1 in the same area in August 2024.
Grand Dynamic will be responsible for constructing two blocks of two-storey logistic hub, a storey facility building and supporting structures. The warehouse, with a total built-up area of 153,120 sq m, will feature loading bays with dock levellers and roller shutters.
The 20-month contract is scheduled to be completed by Aug 22, 2026.
“Securing the RM298 million contract with SDPLOG marks a significant milestone for GDB. As our third major project win this year, it highlights our continued growth and strong performance in the Malaysian construction sector,” said GDB managing director Cheah Ham Cheia.
Shares of GDB settled down half a sen or 1.45% to 34 sen on Thursday, valuing the group at RM314.20 million. The counter has risen over 70% since the beginning of this year.
