TUAH 1895 grand opening unveils new hub of food, culture, lifestyle at Bukit Bintang City Centre
“TUAH 1895 is more than just a place to dine, it is a space where people come together to enjoy exceptional food, connect with one another, and experience the vibrant energy of Kuala Lumpur,” said BBCC Development Sdn Bhd CEO Sri Ram Sivasambu.
KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 27): Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld) launched a new lifestyle and dining hub, TUAH 1895, at the site of its former Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) sales gallery last Friday (Jan 24).
TUAH 1895 is located along Jalan Hang Tuah, adjacent to LaLaport Mall. Visitors can access TUAH 1895 by walking through LaLaport.
At 45,000 sq ft, TUAH 1895 houses two levels of culinary and lifestyle amenities, and includes a fountain plaza, mezzanine floor, and basement parking.
“The opening of TUAH 1895 aligns with BBCC’s vision of becoming a dynamic urban hub. TUAH 1895 is more than just a place to dine, it is a space where people come together to enjoy exceptional food, connect with one another, and experience the vibrant energy of Kuala Lumpur. This opening is a significant milestone as BBCC continues to redefine urban living and lifestyle,” said BBCC Development Sdn Bhd CEO Sri Ram Sivasambu.
“TUAH 1895 plays a key role in this journey, bringing people together to create memories in the heart of the city. With every new addition, BBCC evolves and grows to becoming a lifestyle destination,” Sri Ram added.
New tenants for TUAH 1895 include Ministry of Crab, AS I AM — a new brand by Thailand’s Chef Ton, and local culinary brands like Ting Shan, Chef Kecik, Pak Tok, and Hock Kee Kopitiam. Visitors of TUAH 1895 can also visit Crafty’s Bar & Lounge for more chill vibes.
Malaysia’s largest HYROX training ground, MORPH by Kamileon, will also be opening in February 2025, located on TUAH 1895’s second level.
Shareholders of BBCC, UDA Holdings Bhd (UDA), EcoWorld, and the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), unveiled the TUAH 1895 logo during the opening ceremony, and the event was attended by UDA chairman Tan Sri Mohd Annuar Zaini, EcoWorld executive chairman Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin, and EPF chief operating officer Sazaliza Zainuddin.
BBCC is planned out for four stages of launches, with phase 1 including: LaLaport BBCC, a Japanese lifestyle mall; The Labs, a 250,000-sq ft entertainment hub; Menara EcoWorld, a 45-storey office tower (formerly The Stride); and Lucentia Residences, two towers comprising 668 apartments.
TUAH 1895 will be part of the second phase of BBCC’s development, which will also include the launch of Mitsui Serviced Suites BBCC, a 45-storey tower with 269 units, which was completed in 2024; and SWNK Houze serviced apartments with 441 units and an expected completion date in 1Q2026. It will also feature a hotel currently under construction, with an expected completion date in 2027.
