IQI moves into new ‘Asia Pacific Command Centre’

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 17): Global real estate agency network IQI and a member of Juwai IQI, celebrated its move into its newly constructed offices at Millerz Square on Old Klang Road with a grand opening ceremony yesterday.
The new facility will be known as “Asia Pacific Command Centre” and the new global technology hub.
Millerz Square is a RM1.8 billion, 6.8-acre luxury mixed development by developers Exsim Group comprising an eight-story retail and commercial podium topped by four residential towers and one office tower.
The Millerz Square office tower, called “Devon”, accommodates high-tech, modern office floorplates and premium facilities for tenants, including a Sky Gym, Sky Pavilion and Banquet Hall, two Sky Gardens, and access to the full range of retail and restaurant options located in the podium.
Besides IQI, Devon at Millerz Square will also be home to a new 80,000 sq ft campus for the world-renowned Dasein Academy of Art.
“We wanted our new facility to be more flexible, health-conscious, and appealing for our team,” said IQI group CEO Kashif Ansari. Ansari is also co-founder and group CEO of IQI’s parent company, Juwai IQI.
“One of the great features of our new Asia Pacific Command Centre is that it is in the middle of a thriving urban area. That makes it a great place to work and provides for connectivity, convenience, amenities, and proximity to clients, partners, and industry events.
“As employers, we have to evolve in step with employees’ needs if we want to attract the best to our team,” he added.
“Kuala Lumpur is our headquarters for global research and development, and Malaysia is fast becoming one of Asia’s most important technology hubs.
“The Asia Pacific Command Centre is where our new technology and R&D team is coming together. It will eventually include 1,000 individuals, all focused on delivering the best and most innovative technology, to global real estate markets,” said IQI group managing director Daniel Ho.
“In this brand-new office space, we have emphasised health and wellness and installed the latest technology and amenities. We also seek to promote teamwork and interaction in the exciting collaborative spaces that are a step up from what we had before,” added Ho.
Meanwhile, Surina Shukri, CEO of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), said: “Juwai IQI’s expansion plans are a clear endorsement of investors’ confidence in Malaysia. The company’s commitment to create more than 1,000 new job opportunities is testament to the high level of digital skills and capabilities of our Malaysian workforce.”
Datuk Wira Dr Hj Rais Hussin Mohamed Ariff, chairman of MDEC also supported the move. “Malaysia is on track to become the Heart of Digital ASEAN. This achievement showcases Malaysia’s solid fundamentals, which include a diversified multilingual and digitally-skilled talent pool, ready infrastructure, as well as a mature ecosystem for the digital economy to thrive,” he said.
