5 emerging pet-friendly residences with pet-friendly amenities in Greater KL
When a paw-rent chooses a home, it must be just as much for his or her furkid. We understand that, so here is a list of upcoming projects that are welcoming to your paw-pal, with like-minded communities to boot.
If there’s one thing most Malaysians can agree on, it’s that we love pets. According to a Consumer Report conducted in 2023 by Standard Insights, 51.1% of Malaysians own pets and out of this percentage, 26.4% own multiple pets. Amongst the other 48.9% of the population who do not currently own pets, 26.2% of them have expressed interest in owning pets in the future.
The pet industry in Malaysia is also projected to experience tremendous growth in the near future. As noted by Mordor Intelligence in their research, the estimated value for the pet food industry alone is US$317.3 million (about RM1.486 billion). This is expected to increase to US$443.03 million by 2029, with a compound annual growth rate of 6.9%.
This goes hand in hand with the increasing demand for residential developments that offer pet-friendly units and facilities. Here are some of our picks for the pet-friendliest properties in the Klang Valley, as featured on EdgeProp START. For a more comprehensive view, we have also given you a low-down on the pet-oriented amenities surrounding these newly-launched homes.
