AFFIN BANK launches Mbassador, first-of-its-kind collaboration with property agencies, to offer seamless financing options, marketing perks
KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 6): AFFIN BANK Bhd (AFFIN) has launched its Mbassador programme, a new initiative to distribute its mortgage products and services, including both conventional and Islamic.
The event also celebrated the appointment of real estate agencies, negotiators and property industry specialists as official AFFIN Mbassadors, offering members various benefits including enhanced customer service and greater brand visibility.
Through an exclusive agreement with EdgeProp Malaysia, members of the AFFIN Mbassador program will be entitled to special listing packages on its platform, EdgeProp.my, and media coverage.
Other perks offered include free publicity and advertising for participating agencies across AFFIN’s website and various social media platforms, exclusive access to developers’ launches and property exhibitions, as well as other events hosted by AFFIN. They will also enjoy special pricing on property and car loans, rewards and commissions for referring new customers to the bank, and non-exclusive use of the AFFIN logo in marketing and promotional materials (subject to AFFIN’s approval).
“This collaboration signifies a pivotal step forward in our bank’s efforts to acknowledge and recognise real estate agencies, who consistently demonstrate their commitment and unwavering support to AFFIN. The role of an AFFIN Mbassador is crucial in bridging the gap between potential homeowners and our tailored mortgage solutions,” said AFFIN BANK Bhd group community banking executive director Mohammad Fairuz Mohd Radi, during his welcome speech for the launch held here today.
“Our agents will be able to receive greater marketing support with this collaboration with AFFIN. We will also be able to provide better service for our customers in terms of securing loans and financing, as AFFIN’s platforms will allow our agents to monitor loan applications with more efficiency, which will in turn, foster better communication and trust between our agents and their clients,” said PropNex Malaysia chief operating officer Evon Heng.
“[The programme] is the first of its kind in the market, and access to such a comprehensive range of perks will be highly advantageous in garnering visibility for our agency,” said WEREG Properties Sdn Bhd managing director Wilson Law.
AFFIN also announced its upcoming partnership with Cagamas Bhd as the primary banking partner to offer the reverse mortgage programme (Skim Saraan Bercagar/SSB). This programme is expected to be launched by the end of the first quarter of 2025.
“The reverse mortgage programme provides senior homeowners with the opportunity to receive additional cash flow, without the need to sell one’s home. Seniors can use funds for various purposes such as medical expenses, home improvements, and daily necessities, making their retirement years more manageable and dignified.
“This solution is part of our conviction to be the most creative financial institution that constantly innovates to meet the evolving needs of our customers at every stage of life,” explained Fairuz.
